The Process

When you’ve first made contact with the Outdoor Restorations Inc. team, whether through our online form, phone or email, we’ll respond to at our earliest convenience.

This first step sets the stage for a successful design and gets you and our team thinking along the same lines!

Before moving ahead with design, the OR team will contact you by phone to further explain the process, discuss fees, budget and timing, and finally, schedule an in-person meeting at your home.

At your site you what you can expect:

• We’ll walk around the property together while listening to your ideas.
• We’ll make suggestions when appropriate to encourage new ideas.

Shortly after your meeting, a design cost estimate will be provided. Once this proposal is approved and a deposit paid, the design phase begins!

Your first design concept will be reviewed with us and our design team in Chesapeake, Virginia. You’ll meet with your designer and review sketches, 2D drawings or 3D visualizations. We'll use our knowledge and expertise to guide you through the design process.

With your valuable feedback in our hands, we begin revising the design as we work towards finalization. At this point, we can also book your construction project with a small holding deposit if you’d like to plan ahead and avoid scheduling delays.

When you’ve paid your construction deposit and finalized a date for us to start construction, all you have to do is wait. In the meantime, we’ll look after applying for any relevant permits, order any custom materials and make sure you stay up to date on everything that’s happening!

Once the scheduled construction start date arrives, our crews will set up everything we need on-site. Your project manager will meet with you two to three times a week with updates — and you can reach out to them by phone or email at any time. Every two weeks, a progress invoice will be sent to you, which is due upon receipt.
